Police are responding to fatal crash at Sturt

A man has died following a two-car crash at Sturt yesterday.

The collision occurred on Marion Road near the entrance to the Southern Expressway about 2.30pm on Monday 31 July.

Both drivers were taken to the Flinders Medical Centre for treatment.

Sadly, a 68-year-old Woodcroft man, died in hospital a short time later.

The other driver, a 24-year-old Flagstaff Hill man, sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Both cars were towed from the scene.

Major Crash investigators are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The man's death is the 71st life lost on South Australian roads so far this year, compared to 43 at the same times last year.
