Police are responding to fatal crash, Belmont

A 17-year-old boy has died following a single vehicle crash at Belmont overnight (November 10).

Initial investigations indicate just after 11pm a blue Lexus sedan was driving on Mount Petrie Road when it left the road and crashed into bushland.

The driver of the vehicle, a 17-year-old Upper Mount Gravatt boy, was declared deceased at the scene.

A 15-year-old Calamvale boy, a passenger in the vehicle, was transported to Queensland Children's Hospital in a stable condition.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the blue Lexus in the area at the time, or who may have relevant dash-cam footage to contact them.
