Police are responding to fatal crash, Chambers Flat

The life of an unborn baby has been claimed as a result of a crash at Chambers Flat yesterday afternoon.

Just after 5.30pm, a Subaru Forrester travelling west along Chambers Flat Road when early investigations suggest it crossed into the path and collided with a Toyota RAV4.

The 25-year-old man driving the Subaru Forrester suffered minor injuries while a woman, aged 25, was transported to hospital in a serious condition. Her unborn child died.

Two boys, aged eight and two, were also travelling in the same car. The two-year-old received minor injuries while the eight-year-old was transported to hospital suffering serious injuries.

The sole occupant of the Toyota RAV4, a 44-year-old woman, was also transported to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Crash investigators are appealing to anyone who has footage or witnessed the crash to come forward.
