Police Are Responding To Fatal Crash - Fennell Bay

A driver has died after a two-vehicle crash in the state's north overnight.

About 1am today (Monday 23 June 2025), emergency services were called to Main Road, Fennell Bay, following reports of a bronze Suzuki hatchback and a silver Alfa Romeo hatchback have collided.

Police were told the two vehicles have collided before the Suzuki crashed through a fence and hit a tree.

The driver of Suzuki – a 38-year-old woman – died at the scene.

The other driver – a 37-year-old man – was subjected to a roadside breath test, which returned with a negative result.

He was taken to John Hunter Hospital for a mandatory testing.

A crime scene has been established and police commenced an investigation into the incident.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
