Police are responding to fatal crash, Glenmore

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a fatal truck and pedestrian incident at Glenmore last night (January 20).

Initial investigations indicate around 10:30pm a man was walking along the Bruce Highway northbound when he was struck by a truck.

The 25-year-old Bargara man was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the truck, a 40-year-old Leichhardt man, was not physically injured and is assisting police.

Investigators are appealing to any witnesses or anyone who may have been travelling in the area at the time and may have dashcam to contact police.

Investigations are ongoing.
