At 9:50pm on Friday 20 November 2020 a pedestrian walking south on the Brooker Highway, Granton was struck by a white 4×4 utility. The crash occurred near the intersection of Black Snake Road in the vicinity of the slip lane onto the Brooker Highway southbound.
The 29 year old male pedestrian died at the scene. The driver of the utility was not injured.
Any person who witnessed the crash or observed a male walking on the Brooker Highway prior to the crash is asked to contact Tasmania Police or Crime Stoppers.
