A 63-year-old local man has died following a single vehicle crash yesterday afternoon.
Just before 5.30pm, police were called to Cooktown Mcivor River Road and located a Nissan X-trail in bushland.
Hope Vale health clinic, family members and police provided first aid to the man, however he died a short time later.
Investigations into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
