About 3:25pm, a white Toyota Hilux utility and a white Toyota Prado station wagon, collided on the North West Coastal Highway.
The 21-year-old male driver of the Hilux and the 29-year-old female driver of the Prado sustained life-threatening injuries, and both died at the scene.
As a result of the crash, four female passengers in the Prado were injured and taken to hospital for medical treatment. A 19-year-old and a 24-year-old sustained critical injuries. A 25-year-old and a 13-year-old received minor injuries.
