Police are responding to fatal crash, Kokotungo

An 85-year-old woman has died following a single vehicle crash at Kokotungo, south-west of Rockhampton, on November 26.

Initial investigations indicate at approximately 2.10pm a single vehicle towing a trailer was travelling on the Leichhardt Highway when it has left the roadway and crashed into a tree.

The driver and sole occupant, an 85-year-old Jandowae woman, was airlifted in a critical condition to Rockhampton Hospital, where yesterday she passed away as a result of her injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
