The City of Canada Bay has launched a new waste app, making it easier for residents to stay on top of their waste and recycling.
"We're always looking for ways to make Council services more accessible for our community. Residents can now manage their household waste and recycling more easily with the launch of the City of Canada Bay's new and improved waste app," said City of Canada Bay Mayor Michael Megna.
The free 'LoopedIn Councils' app is available on both Apple and Android devices and brings together everything residents need to know about their waste and recycling services in one convenient place. It also ensures you're notified of any service disruptions or updates instantly.
Features include personalised bin collection calendars, collection day reminders, service updates, and practical advice on what items belong in each bin, as well as a handy interactive map of our local recycling stations and clothing donation bins. The app also simplifies reporting issues such as missed bin collections, damaged bins or illegal dumping.
City of Canada Bay Mayor Michael Megna said the new app is designed to make everyday waste management simpler and help residents recycle with confidence, supporting the Council's efforts to reduce contamination and improve circular economy outcomes.
"Knowing which bin to use can sometimes be confusing. The app provides quick, easy guidance to help residents dispose of different waste items correctly," he said.
Getting started is easy:
- Download the 'LoopedIn Councils' app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Select 'Canada Bay Council' as your Council during set-up.
- Delete the old City of Canada Bay Waste Info App, which will soon be retired.
