Police Are Responding To Fatal Crash - North Ryde

A scooter rider has died following a crash at North Ryde this morning.

Just after 5am (Friday 8 March 2024), emergency services were called to the intersection of Epping and Lane Cove Roads, North Ryde, after reports of a crash involving a car and motorised scooter.

The rider was treated by paramedics who performed CPR; however, he died at the scene. The man is yet to be formally identified.

The male driver has been taken to Ryde hospital to undergo mandatory testing.

Officers from Ryde Police Area Command have established a crime scene with specialist officers from the Crash Investigation Unit attending to examine the scene.

An investigation is now underway into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
