Police are responding to serious crash at Elizabeth North, South Australia

Police are investigating a serious crash at Elizabeth North this evening.

About 7pm on Tuesday 21 September police and emergency services were called to the intersection of Woodford Road and Main North Road after a Holden ute and Ford Falcon collided.

The driver of the Holden ute left the scene on foot before police patrols arrived. A passenger in the ute sustained serious injuries in the crash and was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment.

The driver and sole occupant of the Ford was not injured.

Police Dog PD Jax and his handler were called in to assist with the search for the Holden driver however she was not located. Police are following positive lines of inquiry to locate her.

East and west bound traffic is currently blocked at Woodford Road and Midway Road preventing traffic from travelling through the intersection however traffic is still flowing for north and south on Main North Road. Please avoid the area.
