Police are responding to serious crash at Guyong

A man has been airlifted to hospital following a crash at Guyong, between Orange and Bathurst, this morning.

About 11.20am (Tuesday 23 April 2019), a Mahindra utility and a Hino table top truck collided on the Mitchell Highway.

The 80-year-old driver of the utility suffered serious internal injuries and was airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.

The 50-year-old male driver of the truck suffered minor injuries and was taken to Orange Health Service for treatment and mandatory tests. His 22-year-old male passenger was not injured.

Police from Central West Police District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
