Police Are Responding To Serious Crash, Gympie

Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious traffic crash in Curra overnight.

Preliminary inquires indicate a 4WD Jeep was headed south on the Bruce Highway when it collided with a Toyota 4WD headed in the opposite direction just north of Harvey Siding Road.

The driver of the Toyota, a 29-year-old man, was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a serious condition.

The driver of the Jeep, a 28-year-old Mulambin man, received minor injuries and was transported to the Gympie Hospital.

Investigations are continuing.
