HKU Revamps Employer Club to Strengthen Partnerships

The University of Hong Kong (HKU) unveiled its revamped HKU Employer Club on 4 November 2026, marking a new phase in HKU's efforts to deepen long-term collaboration with its employer partners.

Building on the HKU Employer Club established in 2025, the revamped membership framework aims to foster stronger and more sustained relationships between the University and employers. It provides a dedicated platform for closer collaboration in supporting students' career development and connecting employer partners with HKU's diverse student talents.

The Launching Ceremony brought together employer partners for the introduction of the revamped HKU Employer Club and its membership framework, membership certificate presentations and networking opportunities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Professor Kelvin Yeung, Dean of Student Affairs, emphasised the vital role employers playing in the complementing university education with real-world insights, experiences and opportunities. "A university may educate; it cannot, on its own, prepare young people for the world as it truly is. That requires partners willing to open their doors, to share what they know, and to place their faith in promise not yet proven."

Professor Yeung added that the revitalised Employer Club is founded on a principle of reciprocity, with closer collaboration creating greater value for both students and employer partners.

Through the revamped HKU Employer Club, HKU seeks to move beyond individual recruitment activities and build sustainable partnerships with the employers across career development, student engagement and talent development.

At the same time, the enhanced HKU Employer Club will provide employer partners with more opportunities to engage with HKU students and the wider University community, strengthening the connection between education and the evolving world of work.

Looking ahead, HKU welcomes employers to connect with our students through a range of flagship initiatives throughout the year. Employers interested in participating are invited to visit our website (https://www.cedars.hku.hk/careers/careerfair/employer) and submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) form.
