A driver has been charged after a serious crash at Curramulka yesterday afternoon.
Police and emergency services responded to a serious crash on the Yorke Highway at Curramulka about 3pm on Friday 26 December.
The two-car collision occurred at the intersection of the Yorke Highway and Mount Rat Road.
Major Crash investigators attended and examined the scene.
Four people involved in the crash were all taken to hospital.
The 53-year-old female passenger of a Mazda SUV was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries. Fortunately, her condition is no longer believed to be life-threatening.
The driver of the Mazda, a 48-year-old man from Queensland, and a passenger of the Toyota sedan, a 32-year-old Black Forest woman, were both taken to the local hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Toyota sedan, a 33-year-old Black Forest man, sustained minor injuries. He was subsequently arrested and charged with cause serious harm by dangerous driving and driving without due care. He was bailed to appear in the Kadina Magistrates Court on 27 April.
He has also been issued with an immediate loss of licence.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene, and the highway has reopened.
