Police arrest four after investigation into commercial drug trafficking

Major Drug Squad detectives have charged three people following a ten month investigation into a commercial drug syndicate trafficking cocaine across Melbourne.

Police executed search warrants in St Kilda (2) on 5 November, and in South Yarra and Port Melbourne this morning.

They subsequently seized a commercial quantity of cocaine, prescription medication and a quantity of cash, amongst other items.

A 49-year-old Brighton East woman was charged with trafficking cocaine.

She was bailed to appear before Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 23 March, 2022.

A 46-year-old man from St Kilda was charged with 24 offences, including trafficking commercial quantity cocaine, trafficking MDMA, possess tablet press, knowingly deal with proceeds of crime and possession of imitation firearms.

He has been remanded in custody to front Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 18 February, 2022.

A 35-year-old Port Melbourne man was charged with trafficking cocaine and possess proceeds of crime.

He has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 23 February, 2022.

A 37-year-old South Yarra man has been released pending further enquiries.
