Police arrest four after pursuit - Drummoyne

Four people have been arrested and a female is outstanding after a police operation that ended in Drummoyne today.

About 9.30am (Friday 9 October 2020), officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command saw white a Mercedes – which had been reported stolen – being driven by a man wanted by police along Victoria Road, Ermington.

Police engaged in a short pursuit before it was terminated due to the dangerous manner of driving.

PolAir continued to track the vehicle through Denniston West, Ryde and Gladesville, before it stopped near the intersection of Victoria and Lyons roads Drummoyne about 9.45am.

Three of the five vehicle occupants – two males aged 17 and one male aged 18 – were arrested at the scene, with two females running towards Renwick and Edwin streets.

A short time later, one female – aged 13 – was arrested nearby.

All four people were taken to Ryde Police Station where charges are expected.

The second female remains outstanding.
