Police arrest four after series of burglaries in Mildura

Mildura Crime Investigation Unit detectives arrested four people following a number of burglaries in the Mildura area last month.

It is alleged the burglaries occurred in the Mildura, Irymple and Red Cliffs areas between 4 January and 9 February and offenders allegedly targeted seasonal workers homes.

Detectives executed five search warrants in the area this week and arrested two men and two women.

Jewellery, laptops, i-pads, gaming consoles and power tools were seized.

A 20-year-old Mildura woman and a 28-year-old Redcliffs man were both charged with four counts of burglary, four counts of theft from motor vehicle and handle stolen goods.

The Mildura woman has appeared before the Mildura Magistrates' Court and the Redcliffs man has been bailed to appear at court on 7 March.

A 25-year-old Redcliffs man was released without charge.

A 54-year-old Mildura woman is currently in custody.
