A man was swiftly arrested after allegedly snatching a woman's bag in the city overnight.
The incident was captured on CCTV just after 3am on Sunday 25 October. A woman was standing outside a nightclub in Currie Street, Adelaide, when a man grabbed her handbag. She clung to her bag and was dragged along the ground before the suspect ran off with it.
Police Security officers monitoring city cameras tracked the man as he ran down Leigh Street and directed patrols to his location. He was quickly apprehended him in Hindley Street.
The 19-year-old Athelstone man was arrested and charged with robbery. He was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 27 January.
The 19-year-old victim suffered minor bruising but did not require medical treatment.
