Police Arrest Man After Broadmeadows Shooting 2 October

Armed Crime Squad detectives have arrested a man following a shooting in Broadmeadows on Sunday.

Emergency services were called to Pascoe Vale Road following reports a man had suffered a gunshot wound on Sunday 28 September about 3.45pm.

A 22-year-old Meadow Heights man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains.

Protective Services Officers from Transit Safety Division arrested a 26-year-old Roxburgh Park man at Coolaroo railway station about 4.30pm yesterday.

They spotted the man, who was wanted in relation to the alleged shooting, while on patrol.

The man remains in custody and will be interviewed in relation to the incident.

Investigators believe that no other alleged offenders remain outstanding and would like to thank witnesses who came forward.
