Police Arrest Man After Death In Jung

A man has been arrested as part of the investigation into the death of a man in Jung yesterday.

Emergency services were called to reports of a man's body located off the Henty Highway near Finlayson Road about 9.15am.

The deceased man, believed to be approximately 60 years-old, is yet to be formally identified, and the cause of his death is yet to be determined but is being treated as suspicious.

On Monday evening, police were notified of a man behaving erratically on Firebrace Street in Horsham around 8.30pm.

Officers negotiated with the man who was armed with a knife before he was arrested about 11pm.

The 49-year-old Minyip man was transported to hospital and is expected to be interviewed by Homicide Squad detectives at a later stage.

The investigation remains ongoing.
