Police arrest man after fatal hit-run in Hampton Park

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a man following a fatal hit-run collision in Hampton Park last week.

The arrest comes after a man was allegedly hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Warana Drive and Kilberry Boulevard around 5.20am on Friday 4 November.

The pedestrian, a 73-year-old Hampton Park man, sadly died at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle allegedly did not stop at the scene.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives arrested a man and seized a white Toyota HiAce Van in Hampton Park this morning.

A 28-year-old Hampton Park man has been interviewed and released pending further investigation.

Police are continuing to establish the exact circumstances around the collision and investigations are ongoing.
