Police arrest man after fatal hit-run in Berwick

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a man following a fatal hit-run on 26 November.

A 31-year-old Narre Warren man was arrested in Narre Warren this morning.

Detectives subsequently seized a black BMW sedan.

The man is currently assisting police with their enquiries.

The arrest follows a hit-run in Berwick on 26 November where a man was found injured on the side of the Princes Highway, between Neill and Peel streets, about 12.15am.

The injured man suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car.

The 44-year-old Berwick man was taken to hospital where he later died.
