Police have arrested a man following a firearms incident in Greenvale this morning.
It is understood the man was seen loitering near a residence by two occupants of a property on Peak Road about 9am.
When the pair confronted the man, he pushed a 62-year-old woman to the ground in an attempt to flee.
It is understood the man then walked nearby to a Toyota van, returning to the pair with a firearm.
Officers have been told the man pointed the firearm at a 66-year-old man.
During a struggle, the 66-year-old man managed to disarm the man, who fled on foot and left the van behind.
The 62-year-old woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the 66-year-old man was not physically injured.
The 29-year-old Meadow Hights man was arrested in Meadow Hights just after 2pm.
He will be interviewed in relation to the incident.
The Toyota van is understood to have been recently stolen from the Somerton area.
The investigation remains ongoing.
