Northern Territory Police have arrested a 24-year-old man following a rooftop incident in Malak this morning.
At around 7:30am, Fugitive Task Force members attended a property on Gribbon Place to arrest a man in relation to an alleged aggravated assault.
Upon police arrival, the man allegedly climbed from a balcony onto the roof of the two-storey unit complex and refused to come down.
Additional police resources attended the scene and established a cordon around the property while police negotiators engaged with the man.
Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service also attended with a Bronto aerial platform to assist with roof access.
Following negotiations with police, the man agreed to come down from the roof and was safely taken into custody.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
Territory Duty Superintendent Rob Engels said police thank nearby residents for their patience while the incident was safely resolved.
"The man remains in custody and is expected to be charged in relation to the alleged aggravated assault."
