Northern Territory Police have arrested and charged a 19-year-old man following a series of alleged assaults at the Casuarina Bus Exchange last night.
At around 9:55pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports that a man was assaulting multiple people at the bus exchange.
It is alleged the man approached a 21-year-old man who was sitting on a bench and repeatedly punched and kicked him to the head, causing him to fall to the ground.
The alleged offender then ran towards a second man, aged 19, who was also seated. He allegedly kicked and punched the victim to the face and dragged him to the ground, where he continued to assault him.
Two security guards intervened and were allegedly struck to the face.
The alleged offender left the bus exchange and walked along Trower Road towards Moil before entering Parer Drive, where he allegedly threw rocks at a parked vehicle, damaging its passenger-side doors and windows.
Casuarina General Duties officers attended and arrested the man a short time later.
He has since been charged with multiple offences, including aggravated assault, damage to property, being armed with an offensive weapon and assaulting a worker.
He was remanded in custody to appear in Darwin Local Court on Monday, 7 September 2026.
The alleged offender and victims were not known to each other.
Two victims were conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital for medical assessment and treatment. They have since been discharged.
