Police arrest man after officers locate electronic stun device - Police Transport Unit

A man has been charged after police attached to the Brisbane Water Police Transport Unit after he was located allegedly carrying an electronic stun device.

Just before 6pm yesterday (Monday 18 May 2020), officers were patrolling Gosford Railway Station when they noticed a 31-year-old man who they believed was breaching his bail conditions.

The man was arrested and taken to Woy Woy Police Station. During a search police will allege they located a handheld electronic stun device.

He was charged with breach of bail, possess prohibited weapon and state false details.

He was refused bail and will appear via video link in Newcastle Local Court today (Tuesday 19 May 2020).
