Police arrest man after PolAir tracks stolen Jeep, South Australia

A man has been arrested after the stolen 4WD he was driving was spiked at Humbug Scrub overnight.

Just after midnight, PolAir spotted a stolen Jeep 4WD driving in Northfield and tracked it through a number of suburbs in the north, west and eastern suburbs before the 4WD was spiked on Humbug Scrub Road. The driver continued for a short distance on three blown tyres before stopping on Uley Road at One Tree Hill where he was arrested.

The 30-year-old of no fixed address, has been charged with illegal use and drive dangerous to escape police and refused bail to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court later today.

The Jeep had been stolen from an Elizabeth North address late last year.
