Homicide Squad detectives have arrested a man following the death of another man in Portland early this morning.
The 25-year-old Portland man was arrested around midday.
The arrest follows the death of a local man, believed aged in his 20s, who presented at a Portland hospital with injuries shortly before 12.30am.
It is believed the alleged stabbing occurred in the vicinity of a Henty street toilet block in the early hours of the morning.
Police are not looking for anyone else in relation to the matter at this stage.
