Moorabbin Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives have arrested a man following an alleged sexual assault in St Kilda on 23 February.
Investigators were told a 28-year-old woman was at a licensed premises on The Esplanade with some friends when she was allegedly approached by a man about 1am and sexually assaulted.
A 41-year-old man presented himself to a police station this evening in relation to the incident and was subsequently arrested.
He is expected to be charged on summons with sexual assault.
