Police arrest man after Urrbrae fatal, South Australia

A man has been arrested following last weekends fatal crash at Urrbrae that claimed the lives of two women.

At 1.40pm Saturday 25 April police were called to the intersection of Cross Road and Fullarton Road following reports of a three car crash.

Sadly a woman aged 53 from St Peters who was driving a silver BMW died at the scene. She was the sole occupant of the car.

A woman aged 55 who was a passenger in a Holden SUV also sadly died at the scene. The male driver of the Holden was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the VW ute, a 20-year-old Urrbrae man was taken to the RAH with life threatening injuries where he remains.

Today, Sunday 3 May, Major Crash Officers charged a 20-year-old man from Urrbrae with two counts of aggravated causing death by dangerous driving and one count of aggravated causing harm by dangerous driving.

He has been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 8 July.
