Police arrest man after western suburbs break-in, South Australia

A man has been arrested following a break-in and theft at Mansfield Park overnight.

Just before 2.30am on Wednesday 21 October, patrols were called to a house in Murchison Street, after the occupant awoke to an intruder inside his residence. The suspect stole a wallet, keys and a mobile phone before fleeing on foot.

Police were quickly on scene and were able to track the phone to a nearby premises in Mansfield Park.

A number of patrols setup cordons and the suspect was located a short time later leaving a nearby premises. Police will allege he had property on him belonging to the victim.

The 18-year-old from Taperoo was charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass and did not receive bail. He will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
