Police arrest man at Mile End, South Australia

Calls from members of the public have resulted in the arrest of a man allegedly attempting to break into a car at Mile End late last night.

About 11.15pm, Sunday 24 February, police received calls after a man was seen trying to open car doors on Darebin Street.

Patrols with Police Dog Zac quickly attended the area sniffing the man out a short distance away.

A 48-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with being unlawfully on premises and illegal interference he was refused police bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.

This arrest highlights the importance of calls to police to assist in keeping the community safe.
