Police arrest man for Ballarat evade

A man has been arrested after evading police in Ballarat on 17 October.

It's alleged the man was driving an unregistered motor vehicle on Dawson Street South about 2.20pm.

Officers from the Ballarat Highway Patrol attempted to intercept the car which sped off and struck two vehicles.

The occupants of the two vehicles, which included a five-month-old, weren't injured.

The car then sped off whilst police attended to the occupants of the other two vehicles.

Police arrested a 25-year-old Mt Pleasant man on 21 October and charged him with ten offences, including reckless conduct endangering serious injury, driving whilst disqualified, use an unregistered motor vehicle, fail to give way, fail to stop after an accident, evade police, false report to police and bail offences.

He has been remanded to appear at the Ballarat Magistrates' Court on 11 November.
