Police arrest man for dangerous driving and drugs in Dandenong

Police from the Dandenong Frontline Tactical Unit arrested a man and seized drugs in Dandenong last night.

Officers were patrolling when they observed a vehicle being driven erratically in Dandenong about 7pm.

Police intercepted the vehicle a short time later and arrested the driver.

The man was searched and was also found to be in possession of cannabis and methylamphetamine.

The 28-year-old man was taken to Dandenong Police Station where he was interviewed.

He has been charged with reckless conduct endangering serious injury, drive in a manner dangerous, possess methylamphetamine, possess cannabis and resist arrest.

The Narre Warren man has been bailed and will appear at Dandenong Magistrates' Court on 13 December.

This arrest is part of Operation Tidal which utilises a highly visible police presence across the Casey, Greater Dandenong and Cardinia Police Service Areas (PSAs).

Tidal is an ongoing operation and police will continue to focus resources where they're most needed.
