Police arrest man for Prospect break-in - Operation Hurricane, South Australia

A man was arrested for break-in and driving offences during police Operation Hurricane 2 last night.

Operation Hurricane 2 was launched to tackle recent crime clusters across the State, including break-ins, robberies, motor vehicle crime, thefts and stolen goods.

As part of the operation, officers were seeking a suspect for a break-in and theft of jewellery and electronics from a Prospect home on 20 April.

The suspect was tracked down to Salisbury East last night and arrested about 10.45pm.

The 27-year-old Gawler West man was charged with serious criminal trespass, driving unlicensed, unregistered and with unassigned plates.

He was refused police bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today, Friday 15 May.

Investigations are continuing.
