Police arrest man in charged with supply of heroin at Wellington

Police have charged a man with multiple drug supply offences in the state's Orana Region.

About 9.30pm Friday (16 August 2019), officers attached to Orana Mid Western Police District stopped a man, aged 26, on Church Street at Wellington.

Police observed the man throw an object from his hand before running from the location.

Following a search of the area, police allegedly located a clear resealable bag containing 7.1 grams of heroin, with an estimated street value of $3500.

About 10.30pm the man was arrested at a local club and found to be in possession of a quantity of cash.

He was taken to Dubbo Police Station and charged with supply indictable quantity prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug, and deal in proceeds of crime.

He was bail refused to appear before Wellington Local Court today (Monday 19 August 2019).
