Police arrest man over hydroponic cannabis crop, Miami

Police have charged a man with producing dangerous drugs after an alleged hydroponic cannabis crop was located at a Miami home on Friday (October 22).

Around 1.15pm, officers executed a search warrant on an address at Crisp Court where they allegedly located 13 mature cannabis plants, steroids, syringes, a bong, grinder, scissors, UV lamp, PH testing kits and scales.

A 42-year-old Miami man was arrested and charged with two counts of possessing dangerous drugs and one count each of producing dangerous drugs, stealing, possessing anything used in the commission of a crime, possessing utensils, possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with a drug offence and failing to properly dispose of a needle.

He is scheduled to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court on November 24.
