Police Arrest Pair After Lakes Entrance Assault

Police have arrested two men following an alleged serious assault in Lakes Entrance this week.

Officers responded to reports of an injured man at a caravan park on Church Street about 9.30pm on Tuesday, 21 October.

Upon arrival, officers located the 60-year-old who was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

An investigation into the assault commenced, with officers arresting a 26-year-old man and a 51-year-old man in Lakes Entrance yesterday.

Police will allege the parties were not known to each other.

The 26-year-old from Drouin was charged with intentionally cause injury and assault with a weapon.

He was bailed to appear before the Bairnsdale Magistrates' Court on 11 February 2026.

The 51-year-old from Drouin is expected to be charged on summons with assault related charges.
