Police arrest pair following disappearance of Canadian woman

Two people have been arrested following the suspicious disappearance of a woman earlier this week.

The 31-year-old, from Canadian (near Ballarat), was last seen about 6.30am on 17 February at her home.

Investigators have located human remains in Nambrok (near Sale) early this morning however they are yet to be identified.

Police arrested a 22-year-old man after attending an address in Phair Court, Altona yesterday evening.

A 19-year-old woman is also in custody and both are currently assisting police with their enquiries

Homicide Squad detectives are investigating.
