Police arrest three over aggravated burglaries

Detectives from Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit have arrested three people following a series of aggravated burglaries in Hoppers Crossing and Manor Lakes this morning.

Investigators have been told three offenders broke into the home on Darus Court just about 4.35am.

An altercation took place between the offenders and three of the six occupants before the offenders fled to a waiting white car which drove off.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

Police believe the same offenders then attended an address in Eppalock Drive, Manor Lakes about 6.15am.

The car pulled into the driveway and the offenders broke into the garage and a parked car before leaving.

About an hour later, the same car was seen at an address in Bookar Place, Manor Lakes.

On this occasion, two offenders forced their way into the premises and confronted the residents.

The victim's Kia Cerato was stolen during the burglary and later found burnt out in Elaine.

Detectives have worked tirelessly throughout the day and intercepted an allegedly stolen vehicle near Daylesford this afternoon.

A 23-year-old man from Ballarat, an 18-year-old man from Linton and an 18-year-old woman from Wendouree were all arrested at the scene.

They are currently assisting investigators with their enquires in relation to this morning's incidents and a number of other offences.
