Three people have been arrested after a man was stabbed multiple times at Sydney's south west earlier this week.
Just after midnight (Wednesday 23 December 2020), officers attached to Campsie Police Area Command were called to Payten Avenue, Roselands, following reports a man had been wounded.
Police have been told the 26-year-old man was approached by a vehicle containing a number of people. The car stopped and two men armed with knives stabbed the man several times.
The injured man was taken to hospital where he underwent surgery.
An investigation commenced and police yesterday (Wednesday 23 December 2020), arrested a 16-year-old boy and two women – aged 23 and 25.
The teen has been charged with wound person intend to cause grievous bodily harm. He was refused bail to appear in a children's court today (Thursday 24 December 2020).
The 23-year-old woman has been charged with wound person intend to cause grievous bodily harm (principal second degree). She was refused bail and will appear in Liverpool Local Court today (Thursday 24 December 2020).
The 25-year-old woman has been released pending further inquiries.
Inquiries are continuing.
