Three teenagers were arrested after a car crashed at Elizabeth South today.
Police saw a silver Holden Commodore displaying stolen plates travelling on Harvey Road, Elizabeth Grove just before midday on Friday 4 September before losing sight of it.
Additional patrols headed to the area and spotted the car as it attempted to turn from Oldham Road onto Philip Highway, Elizabeth South.
The car lost control and hit a light pole and truck, bringing the pole down onto the back of a flatbed truck.
Three pedestrians in the vicinity were lucky not to be hit during the crash.
Fortunately, there were no reported injuries.
Three people ran from the Commodore but were quickly arrested by the arriving patrols.
A 16-year-old Paralowie boy, who police will allege was the driver, was charged with driving without due care, failing to stop after a crash and driving with unassigned number plates. He was bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Youth Court on 2 October.
A 16-year-old Mawson Lakes girl was charged with breach of bail, and an 18-year-old Salisbury Downs woman was charged with carry offensive weapon and carry article of disguise, after she was allegedly found with a knife and balaclava.
The females were bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Youth Court on 9 October and the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 14 October.
The Commodore was towed from the scene due to collision damage. The truck was able to drive away.
Investigations are continuing.
