Police arrest three teens at Christie Downs 16 February, South Australia

Good work by patrols, PD Judge and his handler has led to the arrest of three teens who ran from an alleged stolen car at Christie Downs early this morning.

At about 12.25am on Wednesday 16 February patrols pulled up alongside a Toyota Corolla at the intersection of Basil and Humphrey Street. Checks revealed the car had been stolen from Northfield in February.

When the driver noticed the patrol he reversed onto Genevieve Street. Patrols attempted to stop the car but the driver refused to stop. Police lost sight of the car on Beresford Avenue. Cordons were set up in the area and PD Judge and his handler were called in to assist.

PD Judge tracked along the rail line and locate one teen running on Flaxmill Road. Patrols located the two other boys close by.

The car was located on Osmund Crescent and has been towed from the scene.

Three boys aged 14, 15 and 16 from Enfield, Paralowie and Payneham South were arrested and charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle. They were bailed to appear in the Christies Beach Youth in March. The 16 year-old was also charged with driving unlicenced, breach of bail and failing to stop. He has been refused police bail and will appear in the Christies Beach Youth Court today.
