Police arrest two after brawl - Chester Hill

Two people have been arrested after a brawl broke out while police were attending a crash at Chester Hill yesterday.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command had been called to Campbell Hill Road about 5.30pm (Saturday 16 November 2019), to investigate a two-car collision.

While taking details of the crash, a fight – which was unrelated to the collision – began nearby.

Further police were called to the scene and two people were arrested and taken to Bankstown Police Station.

A 34-year-old man has been charged with assault police and affray. He has been granted conditional bail to appear at Bankstown Local Court on Wednesday 11 December 2019.

A 17-year-old youth has been given a juvenile caution for affray and released.

Two youths, aged 16 and 17, were taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment. Police hope to speak with the teens once released.

Inquiries are continuing.
