Police arrest two after Rosebud stabbing

Police have arrested two men following an alleged stabbing in Rosebud last night.

Investigators have been told the victim, a 28-year-old Rye male, was sitting in a vehicle along Rosebud Parade just after 11pm when he was flagged down by two males.

The victim exited his car and a verbal altercation took place before he was allegedly stabbed multiple times to the upper body.

The victim then ran to a nearby licensed venue along Eastbourne Road, before the two men fled the scene.

The victim was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

Police later located and arrested a 24-year-old Capel Sound man and a 23-year-old Tootgarook man.

Both men are currently assisting police with their enquiries.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
