Police arrest two after Roxburgh Park carjacking

Fawkner Wayward Taskforce Detectives have arrested two men following an alleged carjacking in Roxburgh Park earlier this month where a man was seriously injured.

It will be alleged a rideshare driver was dropping off passengers in Cleeland Court when an altercation occurred shortly before 1am on 13 April.

The driver was allegedly stabbed multiple times before his car was stolen.

The 47-year-old Altona Meadows man was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators executed two search warrants this morning in Broadmeadows and Dallas.

An 18-year-old Broadmeadows man is expected to be charged with a total of eight offences including aggravated carjacking, intentionally cause injury and other offences including unrelated burglary and theft charges.

A 19-year-old Dallas man is expected to be charged with 33 offences including aggravated carjacking, intentionally cause injury and a range of other offences including unrelated burglary and theft charges.

They are expected to face Melbourne Magistrates' Court this evening.
