Police arrest two after second fire at Whalan house

Two men have been arrested after a second fire at a residence in Sydney's west overnight.

About 10.10pm (Saturday 19 September 2020), police observed a fire at a home on Luxford Road, Whalan.

Fire and Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze, with the inside of the home completely destroyed. The garage of the residence was destroyed by fire the day before.

No one was home at the time and no injuries have been reported.

Officers from Mount Druitt Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene, which will be forensically examined.

Following inquiries, at 11.30pm, two men were arrested on Luxford Road and taken to Mount Druitt Police Station where they are expected to be charged.
