Police arrest two for arson, South Australia

Detectives from the Serious and Organised Crime Branch, as part of Operation Ironside, have arrested two men for arson after a suspicious fire at a Marion business premises in January.

Just after 5am on Sunday 17 January, police and MFS crews were called to a real estate business on Sturt Road after reports of a large fire.

The blaze was extinguished soon after however, the building was extensively damaged.

After an investigation, a 30-year-old man from Woodville North was arrested by Southern District Detectives on 20 January and charged with arson and serious criminal trespass.

On Wednesday 29June, detectives arrested a 26-year-old man from Sheidow Park and a 47-year-old man from Plympton Park and charged them with arson.

They were refused police bail and appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today (Wednesday 30 June). Both men were remanded in custody and will next appear in court in December.
